Hazard relishing Chelsea status as Premier League dark horse
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard celebrates his team’s opening goal in a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge in London, the UK, on September 1, 2018.

Eden Hazard is relishing Chelsea’s status as this season’s dark horse, with the side yet to drop a single point under manager Maurizio Sarri.

The Londoners have won four from four and head into the international break joint top of the table, alongside Liverpool and Watford, The Independent reported.

Manchester City remains tipped to defend its Premier League title, despite being held in a 1-1 draw against Wolves last month, but Hazard is confident Chelsea can challenge for domestic success.

“Of course, of course I believe, especially in the Premier League you never know what will happen,” he said after Saturday’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth.

“They [City] can drop points we can win points. I think in a couple of weeks we are playing Liverpool here, massive game, so if we win. Last year we won here 1-0 so we need to repeat this.”

He added, “For us we are a little bit in the shadow. So we just try to do our job, win games and then we see.”

In spite of Chelsea’s strong start to the season, Hazard warned that the club would need to come together if and when the side suffers defeat.

“We have good players to play football so at the moment we are enjoying games but we see a strong team when we are losing games,” he said.

“At the moment we are not losing games so it is easy to say we are good, we are beautiful but if we lose games and then we need to stay together and be better.”
