Canadian Parliament shows gratitude to Nazeris concert

The Canadian Parliament appreciated the renowned Iranian vocalist Shahram Nazeri and his son, Hafez, after their concert in Canada.

In a certificate of gratitude, the Parliament thanked the Nazeris (father and son, Shahram and Hafez) for sharing their legendary musical talents and artistic genius with the eager residents of Toronto, ISNA reported.

Shahram Nazeri also expressed appreciation to the Canadian officials who attended that concerts.

The concerts aim to change listening culture among people, he said, adding, "We could have selected some nostalgic pieces, but we preferred the more difficult task of performing pieces which would be enjoyable to younger generation as well."

The tour began in Ottawa on October 13 and continued to Montreal (October 14), Toronto (October 21) and Calgary (October 27), and will wrap up in Vancouver on October 28.

A repertoire of songs from the 2014 album 'Untold' are being performed during the tour.

Hafez is the composer of the acclaimed album 'Untold', which was recorded in four countries with over 35 Grammy Award-winning artists and has been released by Sony Classical.
