CBI: No currency shortage for aviation firms

Central Bank of Iran (CBI) on Wednesday dismissed claims of currency shortage for aviation companies, and said making currency available has always been on its agenda.

Due to the importance of supplying currency to aviation firms, all their requests will be met immediately, CBI announced in a statement, IRNA reported.

Aviation companies are permitted to declare the amount of currency they received.

Some sources quoted Maqsoud As'adi Samani, the secretary of Association of Iranian Airlines as saying due to currency exchange rates, the price of tickets on domestic flights will increase.
