Companies from Italy, Germany, Turkey, China, Russia and Poland are taking part in the event, IRNA reported.
About 300 exhibitors from 15 countries presented their innovations at the 13th IranConMin in Tehran.
The positive trend was maintained in 2017 since many foreign companies wanted to make the most of the opportunity to become established in Iran's growing market.
The fair, which was the largest mining and construction machinery fair in the region, took place in November 2017 drawing over 20,000 visitors.
The event seeks to introduce investment opportunities and capacities, create new markets, develop exports, promote national production, improve business atmosphere, transfer knowledge and technology and create constructive competition among companies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Iran ConMin, Head of Iran Mine House Mohammadreza Bahraman said most of the participants have been registered by the small- and medium-sized enterprises.
A German company, which is leading European SMEs, called for cooperation with Iranian companies in educational fields, he added.
The official also announced the signing of an MoU between an Australian mineral company and Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO).
