She will be joined on the panel by Carolina Martínez Urbina, Concha Barquero, Jodie Mack and Zsuzsanna Kiràly to judge 55 films in the international section, zinebi.eus reported.
Last year, she took part in the festival with 'Limbo' which was highly received by the panel of jury.
Golmakani was born in Tehran, into a family of journalist and artists. At the age of 18, she moved to Paris to pursue her studies in 'Art history' and 'Cultural studies'.
Her PhD studies subject at Sorbonne University focused on 'The Influence of Masters on New Generation of Iranian Filmmakers' that emerged in her country around the 1980s.
Among her most recent works, which include fictions, documentaries and also some experimental pieces, are 'Limbo' (2017. 14 min.), 'Online Shopping' (2017, 15 min.) 'Horn' (2018, 8 min).
The festival opened on November 9 and will run until November 16.
