Iranian ensemble to echo peace, friendship in India

Kaliveh Music Ensemble (voice of Peace and friendship) will represent Iran at the International festival of folk music in India to once again reverberate Iran's voice of peace and friendship in a 45-minute performance.

According to IRNA, the one-week festival is to take place from December 5 to 12.

Conducted by Sara Ahmadi, the ensemble will perform Kurdish pieces along with a well-known Indian piece called 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja' at the folk music section.

Ahmadi will be accompanied by the vocalist Foad Pishva and instrumentalists including Habib Ahmadifar, Ashkan Moradi, Maryam Ahmadi and Hooman Shirali.

Kaliveh's envoy to India said the ensemble will not limit itself to participating in the festival but intends to collaborate with prominent Indian vocalists and musicians.

Kaliveh Music Ensemble has earlier staged successful concerts at Tehran's Roudaki Hall, Niavaran Cultural Center, Andisheh Cultural Center and Fajr International Film Festival.
