'I Am Iranian' receives best film award in Italy

Iran's feature film 'I Am Iranian', directed by Mohammadreza Ahanj, won the best film award in the fiction competition of Sport Movies & TV 2018 — the 36th Milano International FICTS Festival.

The film stars retired Iranian wrestler and seven-time Asian champion, Alireza Heidari, portraying the story of his life, reported.

Other Iranian movies that participated at the festival included 'My Sister Mohaddeseh' by Atefeh Mehrabi and 'Iran plus Two Powers' and 'Sniff', both directed by Farzaneh Amini.

FICTS — Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, headquartered in Milan (Italy) with 116 Member Countries, is the only Federation of Industry Recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through images.

36th Milano International FICTS Festival was held under the slogan 'FICTS Is Culture through Sport' in the Italian city of Milan from November 14 to 19.
