High-tech sub to join navy: Cmdr

A high-tech submarine, made by Iranian experts, will join the navy fleet in a few months, said the commander of the Iranian navy.

'The enemy should know that this submarine will be a slap on the face of those who invade Iran,' said Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi in the ceremony, marking joining of two vessels to the Iranian Navy, IRNA reported.

Khanzadi said that making a submarine is the highest level of advanced technologies, adding when a country is present on the sea, it conveys that it enjoys a high level of science and technology.

Apart from Sahand destroyer that will join the navy on Saturday, several other achievements will be unveiled in the coming months, he said.

He added that Jamaran frigate surprises many regional and extra-regional countries; it can carry helicopters and shoot missiles.

Iran aims at providing collective security, and is ready to share experience with other regional countries so that some countries will realize that borrowed security cannot last.
