Mohammad Meshkinfam further said that Iran's gas production from joint gas field of South Pars currently stands at 580 million cubic meters per day, adding that the figure will rise significantly once the development plans become operational, IRNA reported.
He added that by launching each phases of South Pars, Iran's GDP increases by one percent, while none of the economic areas at the national level have such an impact on improving the country's economic index.
He said that his company has been steadily moving towards supporting domestic contractors and business prosperity for the private sector through comprehensive participation.
The South Pars region has the world's most extensive gas field and is considered the largest export zone for Iranian gas condensate.
In the Iranian section of the field, reserves have been estimated at 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of gas condensate, which accounts for eight percent of the world's total gas and nearly half of the country's gas reserves.
