Persian language main discipline in four Georgian universities

Persian language and literature were among the main disciplines in four Georgian universities and most of the university students were interested in taking part in and completing their courses, a senior Georgian scholar said.

"Refresher courses in Persian language and literature at Payam-e Noor University's Persian language training center had an excellent outcome for Georgian students," said the Head of the Orientology Department of the University of Georgia Alexander Cholokhadze.

According to IRNA, in addition to the immense progress in academic knowledge, the students have also motivated other students, he added.

Welcoming joint cooperation between Payam-e Noor and Georgia universities, Cholokhadze underlined that Georgian universities are interested in expanding interactions between the two universities in the fields like archeology or information technology.

The Georgian university is seeking joint courses with the Persian Language Training Center and the presence of Iranian professors in Georgia, Cholokhadze said while elaborating on the specialized courses in Persian language training offered in other cities in Georgia.
