Three students died of burn injuries after suffering above 90-percent burn in a fire incident at a private pre-primary and primary girls’ school in the southeastern Iranian city of Zahedan on Tuesday.
Another student was also injured badly in the tragic event and is in a critical condition, IRNA reported.
After the sad event, the principal of the school, Malek Mohammad Sanjarani, submitted his resignation to the director general of the provincial department of education, said the head of the public relations office of the department.
Ali Moradi added his resignation is being studied.
He noted that after the incident, Zahedan’s public prosecutor, Hojjatoleslam Ali Movahedi-Rad, issued the order to arrest the principal as well as a teacher of the school.
Quoting Movahedi-Rad, Moradi added after conducting investigations into the case, the school’s principal and teacher were declared guilty.
