Afghan artists residing in Iran to hold exhibition

The National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is planning to hold an exhibition of calligraphy and painting works by Afghan artists residing in Iran.

'Lapis Lazuli Pens' will be an exhibition for painting, calligraphy, Persian miniature, and illuminated manuscript, IRNA wrote.

The event will begin on December 21 with a ceremony attended by secretary general of UNESCO-Iran Joint Commission, Afghanistan's ambassador to Iran, the advisor to Tajikistan's ambassador to Iran, and Iran's cultural attaché in Turkey.

The exhibition, whose aim is to enhance cooperation between the two neighboring countries, will be open until December 26 at the National Library and Archives of Iran.
