'Blue Sky, Clean Air' nominated at UK's Watersprite festival

Iranian short film 'Blue Sky, Clean Earth', directed by Mahyar Mandegar, received nomination for editing at the 9th Watersprite International Student Film Festival in Cambridge, the UK.

Mandegar's film is one of the 26 titles chosen, after two intensive rounds of judging, out of over 1,000 submissions to be screened at the British film festival, scheduled for March 7-10 in Cambridge, ifilmtv.ir reported.

The film tells the story of Masoud, a small time thief who is charged with terrorism.

'Blue Sky, Clean Air' took part at the 14th Early Bird International Student Film Festival in Bulgaria and the Fifth Contact International Student Film Festival in Turkey. It won the Outstanding Asian Student Film Award at the 17th International Student Film and Video Festival of Beijing Film Academy in China.

Watersprite is an international film festival and student film competition that aims to discover, showcase and nurture emerging talent from around the globe.
