The commander of a Pakistani Naval flotilla, recently docked at Iran’s Bandar Abbas Port, discussed matters of mutual interest with the officials of Iran’s Navy.
On its arrival, the Pakistani flotilla was given a warm welcome by the Iranian Navy’s officials, according to a press release by the Pakistan’s Embassy in Tehran on Tuesday.
The visit is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation particularly between the navies of the two countries.
Naval forces play an important role in strengthening relationship between nations through goodwill visits. In this regard, Pakistan Navy has been playing its role in bringing countries of the region together through enhanced maritime collaboration and participation in bilateral and multinational exercises, the embassy said in its statement.
The Pakistani fleet docked at the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas on a friendly four-day visit on January 6.
