Brazil: Sao Paulo protests against public transport fare rise

Commuters took to the streets of Sao Paulo on Thursday to protest recent fare increases on public transportation.

Protesters vowed to bring the city to a halt if the planned rise is not reversed, Presstv Reported.

Critics argue that the bus fare increase of 4 to 4.3 Brazilian Reals, or 7.5 per cent, is twice that of inflation - 3.59 percent.
