IRNA photo exhibit showcases Iran-UN ties

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) opened an exhibition in Kermanshah Province on Monday in collaboration with the United Nations.

The exhibition features 66 photos as well as historical and important documents which could be useful for Iranian researchers in the fields of political science and international law, IRNA reported.

Director of the United Nations Information Center in Iran (UNIC) Maria Dotsenko as well as several provincial officials attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Also on display are photos of the Iran visits of seven UN secretary generals as well as images related to some UN development plans in the country.

IRNA and UNIC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 2017. UNIC is eager to expand relations and cooperation with IRNA in sharing information and exchange of visits.

UNIC will provide IRNA with all other information about UN agencies worldwide and about UN performance in Iran as a founding UN member.

Dotsenko also referred to IRNA as a big agency which has good cooperation with UNIC.

The exhibition aims to introduce Iran as a truly pioneer in the mission of creating peace in the world.

The five-day exhibition will wrap up on January 20.
