A panel of five cineastes will judge works in the New Look, Documentary and Short Film sections of the festival which will be held on January 30 to February 11 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran, ifilmtv.com reported.
Alongside international acclaimed director Panahandeh, the other members of the panel are Hamid Afarideh, Habib Ahmadzadeh, Saeed Soheili and Maziar Miri.
The jurors will pass their judgments on 10 works in New Look, five in Documentary and four in Short Film sections of 2019 Fajr Film Festival.
Fajr Film Festival's 'New Look' is specifically for first-time directors who have made their first feature film that has acquired cinema screening permit.
Panahandeh's award-wining movies, including 'Israfil', was screened at international film festivals receiving award recognition.
The director's impressive title 'Nahid' was hailed as Iran's only representative at the Un Certain Regard sideline of the 68th Cannes International Film Festival in France, winning a prize for debut films.
