The Iranian delegation headed by the Chairman of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh arrived in Damascus on Sunday, SANA reported.
They affirmed their determination to continue develop their relations in order to serve the interests of the two countries’ people in various fields, especially political and economic ones.
President Assad stressed the need to extend the relations with countries that agree with the approach adopted by Syria and Iran.
The Iranian delegation also held a meeting with a number of Syrian lawmakers.
During the meeting, Falahatpisheh voiced Tehran’s readiness to transfer technology to Syria for reconstruction of the war-torn country.
Falahatpisheh said the visit aims to consolidate relations between the two friendly countries in various arenas.
