15 Iranian films in Bengaluru festival

The 11th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) will feature 15 Iranian films in two categories from February 21 to 28.

In the Contemporary World Cinema, the festival will host '3 Faces' directed by Jafar Panahi, 'Ava' by Sadaf Foroughi (Iran, Canada), 'Bomb, A Love Story' by Payman Maadi, 'Cold Sweat' by Soheil Beiraghi, 'Dressage' by Pooya Badkoobeh, 'Hattrick' by Ramtin Lavafipour, 'Hot Scent' by Ali Ebrahimi, 'Orange Days' by Arash Lahooti, 'Sheeple' by Houman Seyyedi and 'The Dark Room' by Rouhollah Hejazi, ISNA wrote.

BIFFes has dedicated its Country Focus category to Iran and Poland. The six Iranian films attending the category are 'Kejal' directed by Nima Yar, 'Sara and Ayda' by Maziar Miri, 'Tale of The Sea' by Bahman Farmanara, 'Villa Dwellers' by Monir Qeydi, 'Wild Jonquils' by Rahbar Ghanbari and 'Yellow' by Mostafa Taqizadeh.

Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka State in India, is an important center of international film culture in keeping with Karnataka's glorious heritage and the state's achievements in the fields of literature, fine arts, and cinema.

The Kannada Film Industry has made significant contribution to the quality and range of cinematic expression and grown to produce over a 200 films every year.
