The action continues as the 2019 AFC Champions League moves into Matchday Two with eight clashes in West Asia across Monday and Tuesday.

Iranian clubs will be aiming to turn things around as three Iranian sides failed to register a single victory on the first day of the group stage, the-afc.com reported.

On Monday, a Group A matchup sees Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia hosts Iran's Zob Ahan in Dubai.

Zob Ahan had reached the round of 16 twice in the past three seasons and will have been disappointed with getting just a draw at home against Iraq’s Al Zawraa in the opening match.

The Saudi side's hopes of reaching the knockout stages for the first time since 2010 suffered a dent after the Matchday One 1-0 defeat to Al Wasl.

Tuesday sees a repeat of the 2018 semifinal as Al Sadd hosts Persepolis in Doha. The Iranian side had won 1-0 in Doha and went on to reach the final following a 1-1 draw in the return leg.

This time around, both teams go into the fixture on the back of disappointing results; Al Sadd was beaten 2-0 by Saudi Arabia's Al Ahli in last Tuesday, while Persepolis could only muster a 1-1 draw at home agianst Uzbekistan's Pakhtakor.

Meanwhile, Al Ain travels to Tehran to face Esteghlal on the back of a poor run of form that saw the Emirati side win just one of its last four games in all competitions. Al Ain is without suspended captain Ismail Ahmed who was sent off in the 1-0 home defeat against Al Hilal.

Winfried Schafer’s Esteghlal will hope to bounce back after a 3-0 loss away to the Qatari champion Al Duhail in the first game.

The two winners from the opening round of games clash at King Saudi University Stadium in Riyadh with the winner taking early strides toward qualification to the knockout stage.
