Announcing the above, Ali Mousavi, the deputy head of Arvand Free Zone Organization said on Sunday that $938 million of the figure pertains to exports of goods to Iraq via Khorramshahr and Shalamcheh borders, IRNA reported.
He added that fresh fruits and vegetables, chemical products, home appliances, steel products and construction materials were the main products exported from the country to neighboring Iraq in the period.
Mousavi put the products exported from Abadan port at $93 million and said, “In this period, $93 million worth of non-oil products were exported from Abadan port to the Persian Gulf littoral states, registering a significant 91-percent hike as compared to the corresponding period last year.”
Main destinations for exported items from Abadan port were India, Kuwait and European countries, he said, adding, “foods, dates, dried nuts, apparels, bitumen, downstream industries’ products, metal, chemical, electronic and electrical appliances were the main exported items from this port.
