Thai Food Festival is a means to strengthen people-to-people contacts, said the Thai Ambassador to Iran Kallayana Vipattipumiprates on Tuesday.
The Thai Embassy hosted the second food festival in Tehran on Tuesday to introduce Thai foods to the Iranians. The first festival was held in 2017.
Addressing the event, the Thai ambassador described the food festival as “an excellent way for strengthening the people-to-people ties between the two countries”.
He also called it a great opportunity to discover more about his country and enjoy Thai culture through the cuisine.
“The Royal Thai Embassy will continue to organize such cultural events and we hope that all of you can join us again in the near future,” Vipattipumiprates said.
The festival was attended by a number of Iranian officials as well as foreign ambassadors in Tehran.
The ambassador expressed hope that the wonderful Thai cuisine and culture will attract more visitors to his country.
The festival was jointly held by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Office of Commercial Affairs and the Thai Embassy in Tehran.
