Iranian researcher receives Malaysian National Book Award

The thirteenth Malaysian Book Fair ended with the introduction of the book, ‘The Cultural and Civilization Heritage of Iran and the Malay World: A Cultural Discourse,’ and the granting of the Malaysian National Book Award to this book, which is jointly edited by an Iranian researcher residing in Malaysia, Abdolreza Alemi, and Professor Farid al-Attas, a professor at the National University of Singapore.

Sponsored by Iran’s Cultural Center in Malaysia, the book was published by Malaysian Publishing Corporation Gerakbudaya Enterprise in December 2018, which won the Malaysian National Book Award as the selected book in the Cultural Section of the Thirteenth Malaysian International Exhibition.

The Malaysian National Book Award is held annually on the sidelines of the Malaysian Book Fair, with the efforts of the Malaysian Book Development Foundation and the National Book Association of Malaysia, and this year, UNESCO and the Kuala Lumpur Secretariat, the global capital of Book 2020, participated in its holding.
