Iran’s foreign minister, in a letter to his counterparts, called on the world’s governments to adopt a principled, precise and lawful stance against recent US adventurism.
In his letter, Mohammad Javad Zarif described as illegal and provocative the US decision to put Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on its blacklist of foreign terrorist organizations and warned about the long-term and immediate consequences of the move, IRNA quoted the Iranian Foreign Ministry as reporting.
The minister noted, “No doubt, different governments hold different stances on many cases of international developments. However, after the World War Two, we have all accepted to resolve differences that could endanger international peace and security through peaceful ways and within the framework of international law and the UN Charter if they persist.”
Although previous US administrations turned a blind eye to these rules and principles and violated them, its incumbent government is making and starting precarious moves that could eventually destroy the whole structure.
