Iranian six-year-old comes first in Spain painting event

A six-year-old Iranian girl, Sana Sedqi, won the first prize in the international painting an poster of the Peace and Cooperation Foundation.

The head of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults of West Azerbaijan Province, Javad Zahedi, told IRNA that Sedqi won the cash prize and the UN citation and diploma, according to IRNA.

Zahedi said that the event was organized with cooperation of United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and as an attempt to rise awareness in the new generation about social issues like nature.

He said that the two Iranian teenagers, Hajar Shafizadeh and Fatemeh Hosseini also received the diploma of honor and UN citation for fresco.

Also, 15-year old Sorayya Pasve'i and Dilan Qahramanpour jointly received the UN citation for fresco. 

3,502 painters from 34 countries had sent their works to the competitions, whose was announced in 2017. The Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults had sent 234 paintings, posters and frescos to the event.
