Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Monday called for fostering cooperation and relations between Iran and Pakistan despite enemies’ efforts to undermine them.
“Good relations benefit both countries but there are serious enemies who are against them. All cooperation and ties should be strengthened in different areas against their (enemies’) will,” Ayatollah Khamenei told visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Khan in Tehran.
The Leader said “terrorist groups that cause insecurity” along Iran-Pakistan borders “are fed by enemies’ money and weapons”.
He said any anti-security measure at borders is aimed souring bilateral ties.
Khan described his talks in Tehran as “good”, saying “many issues were resolved through negotiations.”
He said Pakistan and Iran can overcome problems with closer cooperation.
