President Hassan Rouhani announced on Wednesday that Iran was scaling back curbs to its nuclear program, announcing steps that stop short of violating the nuclear deal with world powers for now.
The statement by the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces underlined the necessity for the Iranian community to keep vigilant against enemy's psychological operations, warning enemies that any move will receive a crushing response from the Iranian Armed Forces, Fars News Agency reported.
Iran's Supreme National Security Council also said the Iran’s measures were necessary to "secure its rights and bring back balance" after the unilateral moves by the US administration.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran does not at the current stage consider itself committed to observing restrictions regarding storing enriched uranium stocks and heavy water stocks," the Supreme National Security Council said.
"The remaining parties to the (deal) are given 60 days to implement their commitments, in particular in the fields of banking and oil," the council added.
"In the next stage Iran will also stop observing restrictions on the level of uranium enrichment and measures regarding modernizing Arak heavy water reactor."
