A total number of 15 historical objects from the National Museum of Iran were moved to the National Museum of China to attend the Asian Civilizations exhibition.

“A selected collection from the works of the National Museum of Iran, along with representatives from the museum, arrived in China to attend the Asian exhibition, and the historical objects were safely moved to the National Museum of China in Beijing,” announced the director of the National Museum of Iran, Jebrael Nokandeh.

“The collection includes antique objects from the Achaemenid Empire to the Safavid Era including clay works, Achaemenid inscriptions, and Sassanid sculptures and glasses. These works are to be exhibited along with 450 works from 20 Asian countries, including China, Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan,” he added.

According to IRNA, the Asian Civilizations exhibition will open today at the National Museum of China in Beijing, under the framework of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC), where several countries around the world will showcase their pieces of historical antiquities.

Iran cooperates with China in cultural fields and holding a joint exhibition of historical artworks, he added.
