IMIDRO firms’ monthly coal concentrate output grew 33% in April

Coal concentrate production by two companies affiliated to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) witnessed a 33 percent growth during March 21-April 20, 2019.

In this period, Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company and Central Alborz Coal Company produced a total of 47,187 tons of the product, of which 40,395 tons pertained to the former and 6,792 tons to the latter, according to IMIDRO.

In the same duration last year, the figure stood at 35,477 tons.

In the same 31-day period to April 20, 2019, the two companies mined 131,422 tons of coal, showing a 28 percent increase year on year. Last year’s figure amounted to 102,827 tons.

Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company mined 121,882 tons of coal in this duration and that of Central Alborz Coal Company stood at 9,540 tons.

In addition, these companies sold 67,148 tons of coal concentrate to customers in this time span, which was 30 percent higher than their sales in the same period last year, 51,492 tons.

Of the total amount of sales by the two firms in the period between March 21 and April 20, 2019, some 60,619 tons was Tabas Parvadeh Coal Company’s share and 6,529 tons that of Central Alborz Coal Company.
