President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday signed a decree not to stamp passports of foreign tourists at the country’s airports in order to facilitate visits to Iran.
Government’s spokesman Ali Rabiei said on Wednesday that foreign tourists can visit Iran without their passports being stamped, IRNA reported.
Following a cabinet session on Wednesday, Rabiei told reporters that President Rouhani had ordered measures to facilitate foreign tourists’ visits to the country.
The measures are aimed at attracting more foreign tourists.
Given the fact that the US is practicing its economic terrorism plans and people who travel to Iran may feel a bit afraid that they may be put under pressure by the US, the president urged the officials to facilitate the entry of foreign tourists to the country, Rabiei said.
