Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said on Tuesday that the international community has paid too much for the US unilateralism and should stand against it.
Azari Jahromi twitted parts of his speech he made during the Asia-Pacific ICT Ministerial Meeting 2019, which is underway in Singapore, IRNA reported.
"Protecting civilians in cyberspace – esp. Privacy & Security – must be the highest priority for all of us. Today Iranian startups are the best. We invite everyone to invest. The Int'l community has paid too much for US unilateralism. LET US STAND TOGETHER," Azari Jahromi wrote in his Twitter account.
On Monday, he confirmed that the US recently launched cyberattacks against Iranian missile control systems, but he said it failed to cause any disruptions.
On Thursday American outlets claimed that the United States had targeted computer systems that control Iranian rocket and missile launchers.
The attacks came shortly after Iran shot down a US Navy RQ-4A global Hawk drone that had entered Iranian airspace in the Persian Gulf region to gather intelligence.
On Tuesday, Azari Jahromi also referred to the Iran’s achievement in technology, saying that Iranian startups are among the best in the world today, inviting countries to invest in this field in Iran.
