Iran will take on Poland and Brazil in Pool B of the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) Finals in the US.
The Asian powerhouse will play Poland in Chicago’s Credit Union 1 Arena on July 11 before squaring off against Brazil on the following night.
Host USA, Russia and France will play each other in Pool A.
Top two teams of each pool will qualify for the semifinals with the final scheduled for July 14.
Igor Kolaković’s men, having secured a place in the finals with the 3-1 beating of Serbia on Friday, suffered a 3-0 defeat against USA on the final day of the preliminary round and finished second in the final standings, two wins shy of Brazil.
Iran has already played the two opponents of the finals in this year’s competition, with both matches finishing in five sets.
The Asian side overcame Poland at Al Ghadir Sports Complex in Urmia, northwest Iran, on June 15 after falling to a defeat against the South American giant in Tokyo, Japan, in Week 2.
Iran’s skipper Saeid Ma’rouf and prolific opposite spiker Amir Ghafour topped the individual standings at the end of the preliminary round.
Ma’rouf averaged 8.42 successful setups per set to sit atop the best-setters table, while the 28-year-old Ghafour finished as the best attacker with a 57.73 percent ratio of successful attempts (183 spikes).
