Iranian albino to compete in Spain

Iranian short ‘I Am Zal’ (I am an albino), directed by Hooman Naderi, was selected to go on screen at the 14th edition of the Marbella International Film Festival in Spain,‌ on October 2-6.

The short narrates the story of a boy named Daniel with albinism disorder, who is to play the role of an Iranian mythological figure, Zal, on stage in a school.

However, his mother is opposed to the boy’s acting and just as before this time too she punishes and prevents Daniel from playing on stage, play.ifilmtv.com wrote.

But when Daniel’s teachers come to know that he had been again beaten up by his mother, they decide to stand against his mother.

‘I Am Zal’ was named the Best Film at the 14th edition of the Indonesian Film Festival in Australia.

The Spanish festival brings together artists and their films from all corners of the globe to display their talents to the commercial world.
