Iran claimed the top spot at the 2019 Cadet Asian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship in Nur-Sultan, capital city of Kazakhstan, collecting seven medals.
On Friday, Hojjat Rezaei, representing the country in the 65kg weight category, came out victorious in his final bout for Iran’s fourth gold in the competition.
Amir-Reza Dehbozorgi (48kg), Saeid Esmaeili (51kg) and Saeid Karimizadeh (92kg) were also among the gold winners in the Iranian team.
Additionally, Mas’oud Kavousi (80kg), Danial Sohrabi (60kg) and Shahrokh Mikaeili (110kg) added three bronze medals to Iran’s tally.
Iran topped the overall table with 181 points, followed by the host team, which finished on 175pts.
