Several villages were preemptively evacuated and reinforcements were sent in from across the country, including firefighters, fire engines, planes and helicopters. No one was injured in the blaze, and there was no damage to houses, Presstv Reported.
The fire brigade had been unable to bring the fire, which started on Thursday, under control, as various fronts kept re-igniting on the lush hillsides. On Saturday, fire officials said they had managed to put out several fronts. Police said one man has been arrested in connection to the fire.
