Iran movie ‘5 to 5’ to compete at Sweden festival

Iranian film, ‘5 to 5’, directed by Tara Otadi, was selected to vie at SAGA Adelaide: Women’s International Film Festival in Sweden.

Otadi’s debut is a philosophical-social drama about a fifty-five-year-old doctor (Saber Saeedi) who, due to a flat tire in a car accident, has to spend the night in a villa with four wealthy retired men, ifilmtv.com reported.

Reza Kianian, Shams Langerudi, Touraj Nasr, Mohammad Ali Dibaj and Ali Asghar Shahbazi are some of the big names starring in ‘5 to 5’.

American Brightlight Film Productions is responsible for the international distribution of the film. The company announced that ‘5 to 5’ would participate at the fifth edition of SAGA festival.

This is the film’s fourth international presence. It has participated in some other festivals such as UK Lift-Off and India Dada Saheb festival.

SAGA Adelaide is a grassroots film festival that creates a platform for women and girls to tell their own stories and to shape their own narratives, from their own world perspective.

The festival is scheduled to begin on August 23 in Stockholm, Sweden.
