The movie received the award for best cinematography and best film from students’ points of view, IRNA reported.
The producer of the film, Elaheh Nobakht, received the awards on behalf of Talebi.
‘Beloved’ tells the story of Firouzeh, an 82-year-old female cowherd in northern Iran who prefers a hard, solitary herder’s existence with her cows to a more comfortable life among people.
The film shows her kind and loving character and demonstrates her bravery and strength tackling the hardships of life in the Alborz Mountains without the modern comforts of technology. She believes happiness lies in the simplicity of life.
‘Beloved’ had its first international screening at the International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam and later reached the competition section of the ‘Showcase of the World’ of Canada’s Hot Docs Festival, the Culinary Cinema section of the 69th Berlin International Film Festival and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the US.
The film has recently received the best feature documentary award and a diploma at the 15th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in the Republic of Tatarstan, the jury special mention and a UNESCO honorable mention at the 67th edition of the Trento Film Festival, as well as a special mention from 25th edition of Shanghai Television Festival in China.
“Thinking about mutual knowledge as a natural bridge linking positive values, the association plans its projects, taking inspiration from different artistic expressions,” the Sole Luna website reported.
