Science department secretary of the forum, Karim Hosseinzadeh, said that conservation of the unique features of the Iranian city Tabriz will be introduced to the world in the context of the international conference.
He told IRNA that the upcoming conference would explore ways for conservation of historical sites in the ancient cities, including Tabriz, the provincial capital of East Azarbaijan in northwestern Iran.
Tabriz is one of the ancient cities in the world and the great cultural heritage of the city is unique; the forum will be a good opportunity for international teachers and elites to be briefed on the city.
The class divide and its impacts on urban development, as well as economic and sociological issues, and global plans that have been implemented successfully will be discussed at the forum.
The provincial capital of East Azarbaijan was named the World’s Carpet Capital in 2015 by UNESCO and the World Crafts Council.
Only 11 cities in the world have been designated as World Crafts City. As the representative of Muslim cities on that list, Tabriz is in the lead.
