He made the remark in a meeting with the head of the Art and Culture Organization of Tehran Municipality, Saeed Ohadi.
Zegbe noted that Iran’s Embassy in Mexico is one of the most active centers in terms of cultural activities.
He exemplified the ceremonies held on the occasion of Norouz (Persian New Year) in which pictures and symbols of Iran’s monuments go on display across Mexico City.
Zegbe said that he believes that Iranians are one of the most talented people in the world, especially in the field of art, IRNA reported.
“Iranian musicians are really skillful in playing Mexican melodies,” the Mexican official added.
Holding cultural events, he said, is the key for revival of traditions.
He said that holding Mexican Cultural Week in Iran will be an effective step to develop cultural relations between the two countries.
Cultural programs help display the similarities between the two countries including food, music, poetry, visual arts and urban design, he explained.
Ohadi expressed readiness for holding cultural weeks in Tehran, suggesting that Qasr Garden Museum in Tehran as an appropriate place for holding Mexican Cultural Week.
