Mohammad Al-e Khamis, the NIDC’s deputy CEO for drilling operations, added in this period, the company drilled 17 development-appraisal wells and 24 workover wells, Shana wrote.
Some 29 wells are located in the operational territory of the National Iranian South Oil Company, two pertains to Iranian Central Oil Fields Company, three to Iranian Offshore Oil Company and three to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company.
In addition, four wells were drilled within the framework of independent projects, Al-e Khamis added.
He said on the whole, a total of 50,929 meters of drilling operations were carried out in this period.
Al-e Khamis noted that currently, NIDC owns 72 drilling rigs, of which 69 are sonshore (69) and three are offshore rigs.
During the four-month period to July 22, he said, the NIDC began implementing a number of new onshore drilling projects including drilling 10 new wells in South Azadegan oilfield in the southwestern Iranian province of Khuzestan.
