Iran film enjoys special screening in Italy

Award-winning Iranian flick ‘Dressage’ had special screening at “Middle East Now" fest in Italy on July 30.

The flick was screened within a summer 2019 review program dedicated to movies hailing from the ME.

Under the program, one movie from a Middle Eastern country is screened each night while 'Dressage' represented Iran at the event, reported.

‘Dressage’ narrates the story of Golsa and her friends who decide to rob a corner shop out of boredom. But while evaluating the robbery, they are dismayed to realize that they forgot to take the security camera footage; so one of them must return to the crime scene and retrieve it — a task that falls on Golsa.

Negar Moqaddam, Ali Mosaffa, Shabnam Moqaddami, Houshang Tavakkoli, Alireza Aqakhani, Alireza Sanifar, Jalal Fatemi, Yasna Mirtahmasb, and Siamak Adib are among the cast.

The Iranian feature won best first film award at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran and best debut film award at the 4th CineIran Festival in Canada.
