The short films are ‘Birthday Party’, directed by Amir Salimkhani, ‘The Factory’, codirected by Ali Rahimi and Mohammad Amin Sharifi, and ‘V. Cycle’ by Ahmad Khoshniat, according to Mehr News Agency.
The annual festival is dedicated to films under six minutes, celebrating brevity in filmmaking with both live-action and animated films.
It consists of two distinct short film sections titled the ‘Heartstrings Program’, which includes stories of an emotional nature – either poignant or charming – and the ‘Headtrip Program’, which presents forays into bizarre or unsettling territory, according to the event’s website.
‘Birthday Party’ will take part in the ‘Heartstrings Program’ section and ‘The Factory’ and ‘V. Cycle’ will be screened in the ‘Headtrip Program’ section of the festival.
The fest’s awards will include jury-selected awards and audience-voted awards. Its winners will be announced in early December, according to the event's organizers.
