Iran showcasing 240 book titles at CCBF

A total of 240 book titles are on display at Iran’s pavilion in the 17th edition of China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) which opened on Friday.

The books are in the field of children’s education and entertainment, according to Mehr News Agency.

Iran’s pavilion in the expo is run by Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI).

ICFI is set to hold meetings with foreign participants during the event to prepare the ground for further expansion of cultural relations with its foreign counterparts.

The three-day event has brought together more than 400 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions, including publishing houses, distributors, toymakers, and training agencies.

The exhibition ends today.

Launched in 2013 and after six successful editions, CCBF has quickly become an important event for the global publishing industry. It is the only fair fully dedicated to books and specific contents for children aged under 16 in Asia Pacific.

During its six years of development, CCBF has centered on the theme of ‘Embracing the future.’ The fair provides a leading copyright exchange hub for children’s books. It plays an important role in promoting Chinese children’s literature internationally and encourages reading culture among young children.
