Hian made the remarks in a meeting with Head of Iran-South Korea Parliamentary Friendship Group Asadollah Abbasi in Tehran, reported Fars News Agency.
He stressed the importance of maintaining and developing economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.
He also highlighted the significant role of parliamentary friendship groups in identifying and resolving the obstacles in the way of mutual economic cooperation.
Hian also emphasized the need for strengthening mutual cooperation in various fields.
Abbasi, for his part, referred to the history of friendly relations between the two countries, adding that Iran and South Korea have great capacities in various fields which should be further increased.
In February, South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha told her Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif that Seoul was determined to expand its bilateral relations with Tehran, regardless of the US unilateral sanctions.
She expressed her country’s willingness to maintain its friendly relations with Tehran despite the anti-Iran pressures.
Kyung-wha also expressed Seoul’s interest in continuing decades of good relations between the two countries despite pressures and sanctions.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed economic and trade relations as well as the most important regional and international issues, including Korean Peninsula situation and JCPOA.
