Iran’s ‘Silence’ to attend Italian festival

Iranian short film, ‘Silence,’ directed by Vahab Gaeeni, is scheduled to participate in the Laceno d’oro Film Festival in Italy.

Eighteen short films from around the globe will be in competition at the 44th edition of the Italian film event, ifilmtv.com wrote.

“A factory worker has been made redundant at the place he works and now he is about to get sacked,” a brief synopsis for the flick reads.

The main role of the nine-minute film has been portrayed by Amir Janani.

The Laceno d’oro International Film Festival has three competition categories, which are full-length and medium-length, short movies and documentaries.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for December 1-8 in Avellino, Italy.
