The head of the United Nations Information Center (UNIC) in Tehran, Maria Dotsenko, attended the event, IRNA reported.
The exhibition aims at showing Iran’s presence and cooperation as a peace-loving nation in international organizations since the establishment of the United Nations.
Fifty-five historical photos and documents about the presence of prominent Iranian figures at UN events and the visit of seven UN secretary generals to Iran as well as a selection of UN-implemented projects in Iran are publicly available in this exhibition.
The selected photos were taken from the UNIC, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Institute for Contemporary Iranian Historical Studies.
IRNA and the UNIC have already worked together to put on display photos and important documents demonstrating close ties and cooperation between Iran and the world body.
Previously, photo exhibitions of UN-Iran cooperation have been held in other Iranian provinces including Kerman, Kermanshah, Yazd, Dezful, Bushehr, Zahedan, Shiraz, Sanandaj, and Arak.
