Iran’s national tourism brand to be unveiled on February 11

Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ali-Asghar Mounesan said that the national tourism brand of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be unveiled in a glorious ceremony on February 11, 2020.

He made the remarks during the inaugural ceremony of 19 tourism projects in Iran’s southern Bushehr Province and added, “To help develop and boost the tourism industry in the country, the national brand of tourism will be unveiled.”

Presently, Iran’s Ministry of Tourism has established fair cooperation and collaboration with the World Tourism Organization (WTO), he stated, according to Mehr News Agency.

Moreover, the ministry has established very close cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which would help specify tourism budgets precisely, he said.

Pointing to rural employment and ecotourism, he said, “Rural recreational centers increased from 400 to 1,700 across the country, showing a considerable growth.”

He pointed to the rural tourism field, saying, “Ecotourism has been developed rapidly in the country. Not only has the development of rural tourism prevented the migration of villagers to the city, but reverse migration has been created, from cities to villages.”

Ecotourism is one of the subjects that has been highly welcomed by domestic and foreign tourists, Mounesan emphasized.
