Fajr festival will host ‘Silent Snail,’ themed on hearing impaired

The 38th edition of Fajr Film Festival is set to host a film with a theme on people with hearing impairment.

Behrang Dezfoulizadeh’s first feature, ‘Silent Snail,’ is one of the participants at the 2020 edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran, ifilmtv.com reported.

The film stars Hanieh Tavassoli, Mehran Ahmadi, Pedram Shafeei and Mohsen Kiaee.

Established in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes and pays tribute to local and international films. Since its establishment, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Culture Ministry, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.

The 38th Fajr Film Festival is set to kick off on February 1, 2020 and will run till February 11 in Tehran.
