Iran-built cement factory to come on stream in near future

A cement-producing factory developed by Iranian engineers and experts is due to be inaugurated in a ceremony in the near future by Iranian First Vice-President Es-haq Jahangiri, said the deputy minister of industry, mine and trade on Tuesday.

The inauguration of the cement project in Venezuela could be seen as a source of pride for the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade and the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Mahdi Karbasian was quoted as saying by IMIDRO website.
Karbasian who was speaking during a meeting with the managers and personnel of Ehdas San'at Company, the Iranian contractor of the project in the Latin American country, said IMIDRO needs the services of Ehdas San'at Company in order to be able to continue with its development plans.
With 70 active cement-producing factories, Iran is the world's third-largest cement producer and the first producer of the product in the region.
