Kish Island to host technology management confab

The 4th International and the Eighth National Conference on Technology Management will be held on Kish Island in southern Iran during Dec. 1-2.

The conference will be held annually to provide a platform and bring together the global community in the field of technology management.

It will be held under the motto of "Innovation & Commercialization of Knowledge & Technology: Role of Network of SMEs, Large Companies & Knowledge-based Organizations".

Bart Nooteboom, professor emeritus of innovation policy at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, Professor Cristina Chaminade is full professor in innovation studies at Lund University, Professor Jeff Butler, a research fellow at the Manchester Institute of Innovation Research, Manchester Business School, and Dr. Markus Bayegan, who has worked with R&D and technology-based innovation in different kind of companies, are keynote speakers.

The main topics of the conference are as follows:

  • Role of large enterprises and networks in commercialization of knowledge and technology
  • Necessities of technology management in large enterprises and networks    
  • Infrastructures for commercialization of knowledge and technology  
  • Promotion of technology management among managers and experts in large enterprises and networks.
  • Documentation of national and international experiences of large enterprises in technology management.
